Refund policy
If a fault causes you other loss or damage that was reasonably foreseeable, you may also be entitled to compensation.
None of this is affected by our change-of-mind policy below.
If something's wrong with your pin
Email hello@idledriver.com.au as soon as you notice it, with your order number and a photo or two. That covers faults, damage in the post, and the wrong pin or colour in the parcel.
Most of the time, the photo is all we need. If we need to inspect the pin, we'll either send you a prepaid return label or ask you to post it back. If the pin is confirmed to have a fault covered by the Australian Consumer Law, we'll reimburse your reasonable return postage.
You don't need the original packaging for a fault claim.
A replacement is the same pin. For a numbered pin, that means the same design with a different edition number, because each number exists once and yours can't be reissued. If the design has sold out, we'll refund you instead.
For an open edition pin, it's the same design in the same colour. If that colour is out of stock, you can wait for the restock (we'll tell you the expected date) or take a refund now.
Refunds for faulty pins include the amount you paid for the affected pin. If it was part of a discounted order, that's its share of what you paid.
If the entire order is being refunded because of a fault, we'll also refund the original shipping charge.
What isn't a fault
Normal variation. Soft enamel pins naturally have small manufacturing variations. Small variations that don't affect the pin's acceptable quality aren't generally faults. Examples might include a tiny speck or bubble in the enamel, a slight colour difference from what you see on your screen, a faint mark in the plating, or a number stamped slightly off centre. If you think yours goes beyond normal variation, send us a photo and we'll look at it properly.
Life after delivery. Pins that have been dropped, bent, scratched or lost while being worn aren't considered faulty for that reason. If a pin fails under normal use, such as a post snapping or a clutch no longer gripping, that's a fault rather than normal wear.
Anything we pointed out before you bought it.
Change of mind
We don't offer refunds, returns or exchanges if you simply change your mind, choose the wrong colour, decide you no longer want the pin, or find it cheaper elsewhere.
Please check your order carefully before completing checkout.
This doesn't affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law if your pin is faulty, damaged, incorrect or otherwise doesn't meet the consumer guarantees described above.
Cancelling or changing an order
We dispatch by the end of the next business day, so the window is short.
Email hello@idledriver.com.au straight away or reach out to us via Facebook or Instagram with your order number ready.
If the order hasn't been handed to Australia Post, we'll change it, such as switching to a different colour, or cancel it and refund you in full.
If it has already been handed to Australia Post, it's on its way and can't be changed or cancelled.
How refunds are paid
Refunds go back to your original payment method.
We process them within 3 business days of confirming the fault or cancelling the order. Your bank or payment provider may take up to 10 business days to show it.
